Carving out space for a new storage business
Introduction
MORE! Self Storage is a recent entrant to the competitive self storage market in the UK. We worked with the team and design consultancy to develop a vibrant and friendly online personality. Central to the project's success is a quote and reservation application that integrates with their operations system.

Personality
Most people who enquire about storage are first-time users. They need to understand what it is, how it works, and be able to easily estimate the amount of space they think they need. And then get an idea of the cost. We created a friendly personification of the brand, playing on the exclamation mark in their name. It appears throughout a visitor's user journey, offering tips or reassurance as they progress through the quote process.
Quote and reservation application
There are many different approaches in the industry for how a storage company guides people through the process of estimating the space they need for their things, the cost per week, and how special offers apply to them, and then ideally reserving the space and moving in. We focused on ease of use, ensuring people have enough information to make a decision. However, systems can only do so much, and central to success in this industry is a friendly, knowledgeable team in each store. That’s why we always gently remind people that there's a human to chat to.
Ownable imagery
Across the site, we created custom 3D visuals to bring creative interest to the layouts. This included developing representations of each room size to help people visualise how much space they need. The end result is an overall look and feel that reinforces the brand recall.
Flexible layouts
While people often start their storage journey by looking for local storage, the website also needs to provide information that caters to people with different levels of knowledge about storage. We developed a flexible design system that could adapt depending on what we wanted to communicate. From clear store information to useful checklists to guide people in preparing for storing whatever it may be, from personal to business needs.
